Dear Families,

Since our founding in 2004, Hope Academy, Northwest Campus has been opening doors of education opportunity to students throughout the Edgewater, Cudell, Detroit Shoreway, and Lakewood neighborhoods. We love our community and are proud to serve generations of students who are children of Hope Academy graduates!

Our EK-8th grade students benefit from a Cognia™ accredited academic program where academic achievement is balanced with social and emotional wellbeing. We work diligently to provide every child with excellent instruction and support as they develop leadership skills and strong character. In addition to academic excellence, we offer a robust fine and performing arts program lead by a Julliard graduate. We are also very excited to have a garden on campus where students can experience hands-on learning, reinforce science concepts, and enjoy the outdoors.

Hope Academy, Northwest Campus is an exceptional school where students are thriving. The results speak for themselves.

  • Northwest ranks in the Top 25% of Ohio Charter Schools and has outperformed our neighboring public schools by double-digit percentage points in most grade levels the past three years.

  • 100% of our third graders have met the Third Grade Reading Guarantee for multiple years in a row.

  • We are a four-time recipient of the Momentum Award from the Ohio Department of Education and have earned multiple A ratings on Progress, Overall Value-Added, and more!

We have a history of making a difference in our community one student at a time. All of us here at Northwest look forward to serving you and your child this school year.

We are managed by ACCEL Schools, a high performing network of over 50 charter schools located throughout the United States.

Community Schools (Charter Schools) offer families an alternative to the local public school. Community schools are tuition-free, open to all students in the county, and focused on meeting student needs for success. Community schools are among the top-performing schools in the nation.
